The Fire Summer Art Camps
Looking for a way to harness all that creative energy in your son or daughter this summer? Let The Fire’s summer art camps help you out! Now in our sixth year, our goal is to offer a fine arts experience for everyone at an affordable price. We want to give your child the opportunity to use his or her intelligence and creativity while making beautiful art. Check out our June – August calendar for schedule.

1# Get Glassy with Picasso – June 13th, Thursday
Be inspired by an Art Master! Learn about Picasso and use his techniques to create a self-portrait that will be fused onto glass.
FULL 2# Happy Bellies – June 20st, Thursday
Learn from the experts how to decorate a decadent cupcake and paint a pottery cupcake stand for future treats.
FULL 3# Pottery Batik – June 27th, Thursday
Bring out your inner hippie with a tie dye technique on pottery. Combine wax resist, bright glazes, and groovy designs to decorate a pottery canvas you can hang in your room.
FULL 4# Woodworking with the Pros – July 11th, Thursday
Take a field trip down the block to Fox River Wood Shop. Owner Jeff will help us make bird houses that will be taken back to The Fire to mosaic.
5# Bling and Blang – July 18th, Thursday
Make one glass fused & one 99.9% pure silver pendant along with a few clays beads that will be strung together upon pickup.
FULL 6# I Scream for Ice Cream! – July 25th, Thursday
Cool off with a class all about ice cream! We will paint a pottery bowl using a bubble blowing technique and make our own ice cream to eat!
FULL 7# Pottery Savings Plan – August 1st, Thursday
Let’s make saving money fun with a hand-built clay piggy bank in the shape of your favorite animal.
FULL 8# Funky Frames – August 8th, Thursday
Roll, cut, and sculpt clay pieces to be assembled into a whimsical photo frame of your liking.
9# Doodle and Design – August 15h, Thursday
Plunge into drawing 101 with art-school approved drawing games that will have you smiling, laughing, and eager for a #2 pencil. Use carbon paper and glaze to transfer your favorite drawing onto a tile.
10# Galactic Glass Fusing – August 22nd, Thursday
If you can’t go to Space Camp or Space, no worries, we’ve got you covered! Make your own stellar glass fused solar system instead.Top it all off with an alka seltzer rocket launch! Parents, don’t fret, this is 100% kid-friendly and safe!
Class sizes are kept to 10 children and are for children ages 8 to 14 years old. Classes are $35 and include all art supplies and a health snack. All classes are 10:00 am – noon. To register, first call The Fire at 920.882.2920 to ensure space is still available. If there’s room, then please send your completed registration form with payment to:

If you’re interested in any of our classes, please stop by The Fire to register and pre-pay. Each class will be limited to ten students.
